About Me

Clementine Scott (she/her) is a recent Classics graduate from the University of Oxford. Originally from East London, she has experience writing cultural and lifestyle pieces, as well as interviews and local news reporting both in London and Oxford.

Her work has ranged from personal essays, to coverage of pandemic-era public examinations, to restaurant reviews and interviews with various creatives, to horoscopes and agony aunt columns.

Clementine first gained experience of culture and lifestyle journalism at the Oxford student newspaper Cherwell, editing the Stage, Life, Food, and Culture sections both in print and online. Most notably, she was Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Cherwell, overseeing a staff of 10 across three sections.

Outside print journalism, she has branched out into marketing, and has created graphics for the Broad Street Humanities Review and written online content for an Oxfordshire art studio and for a period products company. She has also worked on marketing for multiple Oxford student theatre productions.

She is open for commission and would love to be able to widen the reach of her writing.
